- Rosquillas are small fried cookies made with a mixture of corn, cheese, and other simple ingredients such as sugar and anise. They are characterized by their crunchy texture and slightly sweet flavor, and are very popular at merienda or as a snack accompanied by coffee or a hot drink
- Tanelas are traditional Guanacaste cookies made primarily from corn, but can also include other ingredients such as sugar, milk, and a touch of cinnamon. They have a softer texture than rosquillas and are usually larger.
- Demonstration: A local native will demonstrate how to make the rosquillas and tanelas, sharing tips and tricks for perfect texture and flavor.
- Hands-on: Participants have the opportunity to make the cookies from scratch, with the guidance of an expert.
